Vehicles up to 3.5 t need an electronic vignette to use the paid national road network.

Main information and sources checked on

Which vehicle category?

Motorcycles do not pay vignette charges in Bulgaria. Digitoll - vehicles subject to vignettes.

Vehicle up to 3.5 t
Uses an electronic vignette for a light vehicle.
Trailer/caravan
A separate e-vignette is required for the trailer if the combined maximum permissible mass of the vehicle and trailer exceeds 3.5 t.
Heavy vehicle
Generally uses distance-based tolling, with charges depending on the route and vehicle characteristics, rather than a light-vehicle vignette.

This threshold uses the maximum permissible masses in the registration documents. For special vehicles, such as a heavy M1 motorhome, check the applicable rules with BGTOLL.
